Trapdoor is a unique illusion routine ending with the appearance of the assistant.
The Magician displays a trapdoor rescued from an old, demolished theatre. The audience is told that things didn’t come through the trapdoor; they were magically inside the trapdoor. Placing the trapdoor on a modern table that the audience can see through the entire time, the Magician removes a framed vintage magic poster of ‘Thurston’. Next he lifts out a broom, then an 8 foot ladder. – All of these items are explained to the audience.
Bare in mind that the audience has a clear view through the table as the props are apparently pulled out of nowhere.
Finally the Magician drapes a curtain over the trapdoor. A shape begins to emerge from the trapdoor under the cloth. The Magician pulls away the cloth to reveal that an assistant has magically appeared from nowhere.
The illusion is constructed from wood (the trap door). The base is all aluminium and the framing is aluminium and powder coated. There is also a neon strip light around the bottom of the prop that is powered by batteries.
Prop comes in custom Road Case
