This book, “Encyclopedia of Suspensions & Levitations”, is a highly sought-after, out-of-print reference work for the serious magic historian and collector. This is the 1988 Hades Publications reprint of the expanded 1983 Second Edition, incorporating the material from the 1976 First Edition along with additional material, including the definitive historical chronologies by S.H. Sharpe.
I am the original owner of this book, which I purchased from Perfect Magic in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the late ‘80s. It has been a prized part of my collection ever since. There is something truly special about holding a volume that contains such foundational knowledge. It’s a rare, tangible connection to the history of our craft.
